Camangi Market is a Android apk platform for developers. Any developers are welcome to join us by registering, uploading, and publishing. You can choose between distributing free and paid (coming soon) applications.

2. Android OS
You can use whatever version of Android SDK (Cupcake, Donut or Éclair) to develop applications, but we suggest you that the version should be listed in the application description before publish. You will also need to know the regulations for developing applications for Android devices. Please refer to Dev Guide, and you can find essential information you need to know.

    

3. Uploading applications
Publish an application through Camangi Market is very easy. In order to upload your .apk, you must register first. Then, you can just follow the direction to list details of your application, including title, summary of a description, full description, category, and version.

4. Content Policy
We require our developers to following Terms of Use. And your application shouldn’t contain content that displays (via text, images, video, or other media) or links to:

  • Illegal content.
  • Invasions of personal privacy or violations of the Terms of Use.
  • Content that interferes with the functioning of any services of other parties.
  • Contain hate/violent/offensive content.
  • Violations of intellectual property rights, including patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary right of any party.
  • Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
  • Any material not suitable for persons under 18.

Moreover, you must make sure that your applications will not harm user devices or personal data. We’ll take necessary actions to against any violence to our policies.

 

Managing your account

1. Uploading applications
You can list a application by following the steps:

  • Step1. Application name: the name of your application as you’d like it to display in Camangi Market.
  • Step2. Version: the default version for the first time upload is 1.1.1. You may able change version when you update the application.
  • Step3. Price: the default price if free. Camangi Market will soon have “paid” option.
  • Step4. Short description: you will be asked to enter a short summary of the introduction for your application.
    • Step5. Detail description: you can enter a detail introduction here for your application.
  • Step6. Upload icon: you may choose to upload a picture of your company logo or product image. Please make sure it doesn’t violate any trademark regulations.
  • Step7. Upload an application: upload an application here.
  • Step8. Category: select a category for your application.
  • Step9. Upload display photos: you may upload up to 3 pictures to demonstrate the application displayed on the device.

2. Development support
If you have any question about developing for Android, please visit http://developer.android.com/index.html. The website supports developers with providing Software Developer Kit, technical documentation, and developer-focused discussion forums to aid you in developing Android apps.

3. Ratings
Your application is able to be rated by our Market users. After downloading an app, users can give a start rating and a review. Each user can rate or comment once per app.

4. Supporting your users
It is necessary to create a comprehensive help resource for improving user experience and the supporting your users. We strongly recommend that you should list the following information with your application:
1. Your name or organization to ensure that user can identify the publisher easily.
2. FAQ/Help content to users.
3. Contact information includes a email address, webpage, or forum which you regularly monitor and participate in).
